GAYLORD — The Big Ticket Festival has announced a free concert on Wednesday, June 26 with acclaimed Christian artist, Danny Gokey.

  Danny is a Dove Award-winning recording artist and a top-three finalist on season eight of American Idol. His 2010 debut album, “My Best Days,” went to #4 on the Billboard Top 100 album chart. 

  Danny is also the founder of Sophia’s Heart, an organization that provides housing for homeless families. He is the author of the book “Hope in Front of Me.”

  Danny is known for heart-touching songs like “Tell Your Heart to Beat again,” “More Than You think I am,” “Hope in Front of Me” and “Haven’t Seen It Yet.”

  The Big Ticket Festival brings in some the best known Christian bands and speakers for a four-day event each summer, attracting around 40,000 participants from around the state and even outside it. This year it will be held on Wed., June 26 through Sat., June 29.
