GRAYLING – On Saturday, Oct. 5, Mount Hope Lutheran Church will be hosting free food distribution for residents of Crawford County beginning at 10 a.m.

The church is asking for visitors to dress for outdoor distribution. A picture ID is required. Visitors are also asked to bring their own bags and boxes to pack their food.

A hot dog lunch will follow.

This is the last free food distribution for this year. Mount Hope Lutheran is located at 905 N. I-75 Business Loop, just outside of Grayling, near the high school.

Kurt J. Kolka grew up in the small community of Grayling, Mich., near the forested AuSable River. After majoring in English at college, he began a career in writing and newspapers spanning more than two decades. In his spare time he creates a Christian comic strip, The Cardinal, which has a 28-year history of publication. He has also authored a book, “Bullying is No Laughing Matter” (Front Edge Publications, Ann Arbor, Mich., 2014) and is working on his first novel.
