Jacksonville Landing Shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Florida, August 26, 2018 — Sunday afternoon, a gunman opened fired on gamers at a John Madden Football gaming event at GLHF (Good Luck Have Fun) game bar at the Jacksonville Landing. Four are dead, eleven injured, and at 5:00 p.m. there are five victims in good condition, one victim in serious condition, and the suspect dead from a self-inflicted wound.

The suspect has been verified as a white male, and it has been reported that there is no second shooter. Nine victims are expected to be okay. Eyewitnesses are saying that it was one of the gamers who opened fire at the event.

There is a Live Stream video in which you can hear about eleven to twelve gunshots go off. Police are urging citizens not to go downtown even right now, as the investigation is still ongoing. Some victims were taken to UF Shands, some shot more than once. Some victims are from out of state, their ages ranging from 20-35. President Trump has offered all federal resources to Governor Scott.

My fiancee’s brother was in a nearby building at the time of the shooting, where he reported seeing people running frantically out of the Jacksonville Landing. It was a shocking day for our entire city. We haven’t had a mass shooting here since 1990, as far as I can remember. This display of evil is devastating, please pray for the victims and for the families and friends of those who’ve been shot, as the need of our Heavenly Father’s hand in this is immense. Thank you to all the first responders and any who have helped in this situation. May God bless the Bold City bigtime right now.
