FAIRVIEW – The ministry, Love In the Name of Christ of Oscoda County, will be hosting a fundraising event June 8.

Registration for the Triathlon begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 8 at the Mio Pond. The AuSable Valley Triathlon consists of kayaking (one mile), biking (11 miles) and running (four miles).

The cost to enter is $35. Lunch is available by donation. Awards will be given out after the event.

Love in the Name of Christ is a call-in clearinghouse uniting local churches, Christian volunteers and ministries to meet a particular area of need. They provide help to meet that need. Among the areas they help out with are transportation, firewood, bedding, medical equipment, faith and finances, food and food skills, clothing.
