Women’s Christmas Tea in Oscoda

OSCODA — The Oscoda Assembly of God will be hosting a Women’s Christmas Tea on Sat., Dec. 1 at 2 p.m.

It will be a time of blessing for women in the community with dessert, music and a special message. Featured speaker will be Holly Chrysler of Chesaning.

There is only room for 100 ladies. The church encourages anyone interested to make their reservations soon. Deadline is Wed., Nov. 28. Contact Sharon Dowd for tickets at (989) 820-7342.

Tickets are just $10.

The church is located at 5581 N. U.S. 23 Hwy,. Oscoda.

Kurt J. Kolka grew up in the small community of Grayling, Mich., near the forested AuSable River. After majoring in English at college, he began a career in writing and newspapers spanning more than two decades. In his spare time he creates a Christian comic strip, The Cardinal, which has a 28-year history of publication. He has also authored a book, “Bullying is No Laughing Matter” (Front Edge Publications, Ann Arbor, Mich., 2014) and is working on his first novel. Kurt and his wife Diane have been married for more than 25 years and have one daughter, Rebekah, and an overprotective dog, Alli.
